Far Table has no accounts, no logins, and no server holding your campaign. Your maps, photos, notes, clues and encounters live on your own device and travel directly to the people you invite.
We don't collect analytics. We don't track you. There is nothing to sell, because there is nothing kept.
Everything you make. Campaigns, sections, maps, encounters, monsters, photographs, clues, notes and the pins that connect them are stored in a database on your own device and nowhere else.
When you run a session, that content goes directly to your players' devices over a peer-to-peer connection. It does not pass through us, and it is not stored on any server. If you delete the app, it is gone.
Photographs you take through the app, whether of maps, handouts, or dice, are handled the same way. The camera permission exists for that and nothing else.
Two devices can't find each other on the internet unaided. To introduce them, Far Table briefly exchanges a small amount of technical information through Google Firebase Realtime Database:
That is the whole list. No campaign content, no photographs, no messages, and no account information, because there are no accounts.
This information is deleted the moment the connection is established, and again when the session ends. Anything left behind by a crash or a flat battery is automatically removed within 24 hours.
Some networks won't allow two devices to connect directly. When that happens, Far Table routes the session through a relay operated by Cloudflare, which passes the traffic along without being able to read it. Cloudflare necessarily sees the network addresses of the devices connecting.
The app requests relay credentials when it starts, so a relay may be contacted even during a session that never ends up needing one. Where a relay isn't available, Far Table falls back to Google's public STUN servers, which are used only to discover your device's public address.
Far Table is currently in closed testing, distributed through Apple TestFlight and Google Firebase App Distribution. To hand you a build, those services collect your email address and basic information about your device and installation, and Apple additionally collects crash data from TestFlight builds. That happens under Apple's and Google's privacy policies rather than this one.
If you'd rather not be in that pipeline, the Windows build is a direct download and involves neither service.
Far Table is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Given that the app collects nothing to begin with, there is nothing held about anyone of any age.
Data-protection laws give you the right to see, correct, or delete personal information a company holds about you. That includes:
Far Table holds none. There is no database of users, no profile, and no record of your sessions, so there is nothing for us to show you or erase. Deleting the app removes everything it has on your device. If you would like that confirmed in writing, write to us and we will.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything that materially affects you will be called out in the app's release notes rather than quietly amended here.
